Gender Determination Myths and Methods

IntelliGender® finally, allows parents-to-be a quick and safe way to determine gender rather than having to rely on the many and varied myths and old wives tales used to guess the sex of a child such as:

  • Carrying high or low - they say if it's high then you're having a girl and if you're carrying low, it's a boy.
  • Craving sweet or savoury - it was said that if you're craving sweets, it's a girl.
  • Weight gain - of the husband! The myth goes that if you're husband or partner puts on weight during pregnancy - it's a girl.
  • The Pendant - swing a pure gold pendant over your belly and if it swings back and forth, you're having a girl. If it swings around, it's a boy. 
  • The Ring Test. Suspend a pure gold ring over mom's stomach. If it swings left to right, you will a have boy... If it rotates you are having a boy - if it rotates counterclockwise, you will have an Australian boy.
  • The Mothers Face - if it's round, full and rosy, you're having a girl.
  • Acne - if you have more acne, then apparently it's a girl.
  • Trying to look for yourself with a flashlight - could make for a fun evening.
  • Logistical factors - what direction or orientation did the sperm travel. Boy sperms are quicker, but loose their way more often, and of course never ask for directions.
  • The specific day, month, year, and the relative gravitational pull of the moon at the time of conception can be very important.
  • Interpreting dreams - The major dream symbols include:                                      - Cigars, trucks, snakes, telescopes: Boys.                                                    - Tupperware®, keyholes, any fish, almonds, Prada®, Vogue magazine: Girls
  • And finally - The Key Test. If you pick up a key from the thin end, then you're having a girl.
